About the Blog

Hello!

However you’ve found us, we’re glad you’re here.

You’ve found your way into our repository of all things chocolate.

So, what so we do here? We eat chocolate and then we report back. We try bars, truffles, and other confections. We’ll pick them up from grocery stores, friends, bookstores, airport gift shops, high-end chocolate stores, and gas stations. Every once in a while we’ll stumble across a delightful chocolate oasis that merits a little more personal attention (Fruition Chocolate comes to mind. Or Lucky Chocolate - bring back the goat cheese truffle!!!). Essentially, this is an index of all the chocolate we’ve tried and (mostly) loved.

Who are we? We are Will and Kat – a brother and sister duo reporting in from opposite sides of the continent (New York and Texas, respectively). We share many interests: classic science fiction novels, sleeping in, traveling, Fleetwood Mac, breakfast tacos, talking philosophy until 3 in the morning, our other two siblings… and finding that perfect bar of blissfully dark chocolate.

In 2014 we created a closed Facebook group to share our findings, where we posted pictures and reviews of all the chocolate we tried, and co-opted the #chocovore hashtag for our explorations. Before long we were also using the group to share funny pictures, stories, and tidbits from our lives. Eventually, this group came up in conversation, and enough people told us that it would interesting to enough people that we decided to move it out of the shadows and onto the World Wide Web. So, here we are, ladies and gentlemen - our chocolatey excursions open for your perusal. Our hope is that you can find something here to tickle your fancy and your palette.

A note about preferences: Although both Will and I personally prefer our chocolate on the darker side, we'll deliberately experiment outside our 70%+ comfort zone specifically for this blog; we've already had some delightful results. Hopefully there will be something here for everyone.
